PURPOSE:To provide an organic electrolyte battery which has a high capacity and high voltage and an excellent long-term cycle characteristic by using mixture of PAS metallic oxide as a positive electrode, and using a material obtained by adhering PAS by means of lithium bearing thermosetting resin as a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 1 is formed of a heat treated material of aromatic condensation polymer, and contains a polyacene related skeletal structure in which atomic ratio of hydrogen atom/carbon atom is 0.5 l-0.05, and also contains mixture of metallic oxide and an insoluble/infusible base body having a specific surface area value of equal to or larger than 600m<2>/g by means of a BET method. A negative electrode 2 is formed of at least a heat treated material of aromatic condensation polymer, and bears lithium by 3% or more in mole percentage on a compact containing thermosetting resin and an insoluble/infusible base body containing polyacene related skeletal structure in which atomic ratio of hydrogen atom/carbon atom is 0.5-0.05. A separator 5 is arranged in order to prevent contact between the positive electrode 1 and the negative electrode 2, and though electrolyte 4 is normally in a liquid state, it is used in a gel state or in a solid state in order to prevent leakage of solution. |
