PURPOSE:To provide the tempo extraction device which provides accurate tempo extraction even for music where a quarter note does not appear frequently. CONSTITUTION:For a musical signal which is digitized by an A/D conversion device, power and its differential value of each process frame are calculated (S1, S2) and then the maximum value of the autocorrelation function of the differential value is found to calculate bar time length (S3), thereby calculating a tempo from the bar time length and the number of beats (S4). |
