A metallic electrode structure is produced on both sides of a polymer foil by using energy-rich electromagnetic radiation (17,19) to remove parts of the metallisation, corresp. to the electrode structure, from both sides of a completely metallised (2,3) polymer foil (1). The radiation is pulsed (110), irradiates the entire area to structured of each metallisation (2,3) and is divided to act on each surface side of the foil (1).
