<p>PURPOSE:To maintain a large flexibility and a good dead water property by compressing a bulb at a specific ratio between the inner circumferential surface of a sleeve spring and the peripheral surface of a small bore tube, and occupying an inner part space across the front end surface of the sleeve spring. CONSTITUTION:When a fluid is led in to a fluid tube P, the fluid pressure operates also to this sleeve tube coupling T, and operates to the bulb 25 of a packing 6. The bulb 25 is compressed by receiving the fluid pressure to exercise a so-called selfsealing function, so as to make a good dead water function. The lip face 28 of the bulb 25 of the packing 6 is maintained in the abutting condition to the inner circumferential surface 11 of a sleeve ring 2 by its preliminary compression, and a watertightness is maintained at this part. The inclination theta is determined within the scope of the bending deformation of the bulb 25 to the inner part space, and the abutting maintaining capacity of the lip face 28, being about 10 deg. normally.</p> |
