<p>PURPOSE:To smelt the high-cleanliness steel having a low oxygen concn. CONSTITUTION:The bottom end of an iron container 6 packed with a synthetic flux 4 for absorbing the resulted product of deoxidation is immersed between the molten steel 3 in a ladle 10 and molten slag 5 flowing out of a converter in the process of tapping and the container 6 is dissolved to add the synthetic flux 4 at the time of tapping the molten steel 3 subjected to refining in the converter to the ladle 10 and subjecting the molten steel to a deoxidation treatment. Since the molten layer of the synthetic flux 4 is formed between the molten steel 3 and the molten slag 5, the resulted product of the deoxidation flocculated and floated in the molten steel 3 is efficiently absorbed in the synthetic flux 4 and the reoxidation of the molten steel component by the molten slag 5 is prevented.</p> |
