<p>PURPOSE:To redress the deteriorating front visibility, and lessen dazzlement given to vehicles running in the opposite direction by fixing an illuminating angle of the other headlamp in a prescribed position in the case when an actuator to vary an illuminating angle of one headlamp is put under a locked condition. CONSTITUTION:While confirming variation of a right potentiometer arranged in a right actuator 2-1, and in the case when this variation becomes approximately equal to or smaller than 0.1V/sec, a judgment is made such that the right actuator 2-1 is put under a locked condition. Then, current supply to the right actuator 2-1 is stopped, and a value of the right potentiometer is read, and current supply to a left actuator 2-2 is controlled, so that a value of a left potentiometer arranged in a left actuator 2-2 can coincide with a value of the right potentiometer. Thereby, an illuminating angle of a left headlamp can be made equal to an illuminating angle of a right headlamp.</p> |
