PIPE-SHAPED COMPOSITE MATERIAL, PIPE-SHAPED PREPREG AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To manufacture a pipe-shaped composite material continuously molded along a given route by forming continuously pipe-shaped composite prepregs on which a reinforced film or said film together with reinforced fiber is wound on a reinforced film or/and reinforced fiber layer continuing in the length direction. CONSTITUTION:First reinforced films 3a and 3b are delivered in the axial direction of a mandrel 1b continuously. Then, prepregs 6 and the like composed of second reinforced film coated with uncured resin are wound helically on the films 3a and 3b to form a pipe-shaped composite structure, which is drawn as it is or after being cured out of the mandrel 1b continuously. At that time, it is preferable to make the mandrel 1b hollow and the end of said composite structure is sealed and its inside is pressurized with a fluid. The formed pipe- shaped prepregs 9 are cured while their inside is pressurized with the fluid. A pipe-shaped composite material of given shape to be laid along an optional route can be manufactured by said arrangement.
