PURPOSE:To obtain the subject foamed material having excellent secondary expansion formability, strength and appearance, free from keloidal defect and useful for food packaging material, etc., by forming a styrene resin composition containing a styrene resin and a hydrogenated terpene resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective foamed material can be produced by forming (A) a styrene resin having a molecular weight of 200,000-400,000 and (B) a hydrogenated terpene resin obtained, e.g. by the copolymerization of terpene and an aromatic vinyl hydrocarbon such as styrene. The foamed material is preferably a sheet having a thickness of 0.1-10mm and a density of 0.03-0.5 g/cc and the amount of the component B to be added to the component A is 0.5-15 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A. |
