A method for production of defectoscope paint in the form of red dye solutions in organic solvents, characterized in that a red dye solution is prepared with general formula 1 or a mixture of red dyes with general formula 1, wherein R<1> denotes H, CH3, R<2> and R<3> denote, together or independently of each other, H, CH3, C2H5, CH2CH2OH, CH2CH2OAc, CH2CH2CN or CH2C6C5, while X has general formula 2 or 3, wherein R<4> denotes H, CH3, OCH3 or OC2H5, while R<5> and R<6> denote, together or independently of each other, Cl, Br, CN or NO2, in a polar solvent or in a mixture of polar solvents, preferably butanol, N,N-dimethylformamide, N-methylpyrrolidone, dibutyl phthalan, benzyl alcohol or a mixture of those, with a concentration of 5-20 percent by weight at a temperature of 15-70 degrees C, after which this solution is possibly cooled down to room temperature and, after separation of precipitated matter, the solution is diluted with a non-polar solvent or a mixture of non-polar solvents, preferably toluene, xylene, distillate of petroleum, turpentine or a mixture of those until the required concentration is obtained.<IMAGE>
