Process for the preparation of taxane derivatives of general formula (I), new derivatives thus obtained and compositions which contain them. In the general formula (I), R represents t-butoxy or phenyl, R1 represents hydrogen or acetyl and Ar represents substituted phenyl or optionally substituted alpha - or beta -naphthyl. The new taxane derivatives are useful as antileukaemic and antitumour agents. <IMAGE>
