For installation blocks containing plumbing etc. for sanitary items such as WC's, in order to maintain fire protection integrity, layers of fire resistant material (i.e. mineral wool) are placed on the rear of the unit. The material is located on a steel plate and bounded by sheet metal tied into the surrounding block work. USE/ADVANTAGE - Allows sanitary ware installation unit to provide fire protection.
