A wave block magazine for a short-time intermediate storage of wafer blocks is characterized by two or more juxtaposed storage towers (5, 6, 32, 33, 39, 40, 41), which are provided with vertical conveyors (5a, 5b; 6a, 6b), which inside each storage tower (5, 6, 32, 33, 39, 40, 41) define horizontal storage compartments for the wafer blocks (2), which storage components are adapted to be vertically raised and lowered. The first storage tower (5, 32, 39) comprises a feeding station for receiving the wafer blocks (2). At least the last storage tower (6, 33, 40, 41) comprises a taking station for delivering wafer blocks (2).
