PURPOSE:To prevent a seal ring from bulging out, wherein the ring is situated on the outside of a dust cover pinched by a housing and a bearing. CONSTITUTION:Through a bearing 20 a housing 30 supports a globe-form head 11 by allowing the shank 12 of a ball stud 10 to protrude from end openings 31 of this housing 30. A dust cover 40 seals the space between each end opening and the ball stud shank 12. A seal ring 42 on the outside of the dust cover 40 is held pinchedly in the position outermoter than a neck 33 formed between the bearing 20 and the inside end of a flange 32 furnished at the end of the housing 30. This precludes the seal ring from bulging out from the open edge of the flange. The seal ring, further, does not constitute any obstruction for oscillative swing motion between the flange and ball stud, and there is neither any risk of damaging or breaking the dust cover. |
