<p>PURPOSE:To inhibit variation of tension due to change of a draft position from extending to the upstream and downstream by correcting the draft positions on the upstream side and downstream side by amounts corresponding to the variations of tension between stands to the variation of the respective draft positions of adjacent plural stands. CONSTITUTION:The tension of a rolled stock between an (i)-th stand of a tandem rolling mill having continuous (n) rolling stands STD of (n)>=3 and a (i-1)-th stand on the upstream side thereof is detected and the draft position of the rolls of the (i)-th stand is corrected so that the deviation Ti of the tension from the target value is made null. Compensation computing elements Pi, Qi are set to Pi=Mi/Ai, Qi=Wi+1/Ai+1. Mi: a transfer function from Ti to hi, Ai: a transfer function from Si to hi, Wi: a transfer function from Ti-1 to hi, hi: a forward slip variation of the (i)-th stand, Si: draft position variation of the (i)-th stand, influences on the upstream and the downstream can be canceled by the compasation computing elements P and Q.</p> |
