<p>PURPOSE:To obtain coke having stable qualities in good productivity by introducing a fuel gas and a supporting gas to a return part of a horizontal flue of coke oven, burning, raising temperature, introducing only the supporting gas during clogging of nozzle and uniformly carbonizing. CONSTITUTION:Raw material coal is fed from a feed opening 8 of coke oven to a carbonizing chamber 9, a fuel gas 4 and a supporting gas 5 such as preheated air are introduced to a return part (hair pin top) 2 of a horizontal flue (twin flue) 1 of coke oven, the fuel gas is burnt, the temperature of the flue 1 is raised to a given temperature, the fuel gas and the fuel gas and air from a nozzle 3 for air blowing are guided into the flue at an exhaust gas side, coal is carbonized and a combustion exhaust gas 11 is discharged through a combustion exhaust gas flue 12 to the outside of the oven. When the nozzle 3 for blowing the fuel gas is clogged, the supporting gas is blown into the nozzle 3 so that the horizontal flue of coke oven is uniformly heated and carbonization is evenly carried out to give coke having stabilized qualities in good productivity.</p> |
