<p>PURPOSE:To enable rapid aging treatment of stag by generating ultrasonic waves from an ultrasonic generator arranged in water in a state of the slag immersed in water and promoting hydrating reaction of the slag. CONSTITUTION:Slag is immersed in water. In this state, ultrasonic waves are generated from an ultrasonic generator arranged in water to promote hydrating reaction of the slag. The hydrating reaction of the slag and elution of sulfur can be completed within an extremely short time according to the aforementioned method for treatment. The reasons for it can be considered as follows. That is, when the slag is brought into contact with moisture or water, gelatinous films are formed on grain surfaces. The films function so as to inhibit the permeation of water into the interior of the grains and the hydrating reaction. If the slag, however, is immersed in water and the ultrasonic waves are made to act thereon, the films are broken by the action of the ultrasonic waves to permeate the water into the interior of the grains and promote the hydrating reaction and elution of the sulfur.</p> |
