PURPOSE: To provide a geared turbocompressor having excellent efficiency and sufficient adjustability, and capable of operating under high pressure ratio. CONSTITUTION: A two-stage geared transmission with an intermediate cogwheel 5 is arranged in a geared multistage turbocompressor. The intermediate cogwheel 5 consists of a first and a second cogwheel 51, 52 forming one unit. The first cogwheel 51 has a larger module than the second cogwheel 52. The first cogwheel 51 engages a central cogwheel 2 that drives pinion shafts 3, 4 in the first compressor stage. The second cogwheel 52 engages pinion shafts 6, 7, 8 in the other compressor stage. |
