摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain polymer granules having low residual solvent content in high efficiency by evaporating and removing an inert solvent from an organic solvent solution of a polymer containing a poor solvent. CONSTITUTION:A vessel 1 having an atmosphere enabling the evaporation of an organic solvent and containing polymer granules (preferably having an average particle diameter of 0.1-5mm) is supplied with an organic solvent solution B of a polymer having a polymer concentration of 3-40wt.% (preferably 10-30wt.%) and containing 5-50wt.% (preferably 10-50wt.%, in terms of solid content of the polymer) of a poor solvent (preferably 5-10C alkane) while homogeneously stirring the polymer granules with a stirring blade 2. The solution is made to contact with the polymer granules, the evaporated organic solvent is exhausted from an exhaust pipe 5 and the produced polymer granules are properly discharged from the system and recovered (D). The amount of the organic solvent solution of the polymer is <=250wt.%/hr (preferably <=100wt.%/hr) based on the amount of polymer held in the vessel 1. The most preferable polymers to be treated by this process are polycarbonate and polyarylate. |
