PURPOSE:To obtain fine powder of table salt having extremely small particle diameter, narrow particle size distribution width, large specific surface area and high solubility by dissolving a large amount of table salt in hot water and quickly decreasing the pressure of the solution. CONSTITUTION:Water and a prescribed amount of table salt are charged in a vessel 2 and the autoclave is closed with a lid 1 and heated with an electric oven 3 to increase the temperature and pressure in the autoclave 1. The temperature in the autoclave is adjusted to >=400 deg.C by a thermostat 13. After keeping the autoclave at the temperature for about 5 hr, the pressure in the autoclave is reduced by opening a valve 7 at a stroke. The salt solution in the vessel 2 is quickly boiled and evaporated to precipitate crystals of table salt and obtain fine powder of table salt having an average particle diameter of 5.1-14.3mum. |
