PURPOSE:To provide a file converter having plural kinds of the converting functions. CONSTITUTION:When a user designates a floppy 5 to store a file F1 before conversion from input output equipment 2, an AP(application program) to prepare the file 1 and the OS(operating system) and a magnetic disk 8 to store a file F2 after conversion, the AP to use the file F2 and the OS and instructs the conversion, a first code converting means 13 inputs the file F1 from the floppy 5, converts the code to an intermediate code, stores it into a memory 17, and a first data constitution converting means 14 converts the data constitution of the content of the memory 17 to the intermediate data constitution, a second code converting means 15 the intermediate code of the content of the memory 17 to the code to agree with the designated OS, stores it to a memory 18, a second data constitution converting means 16 converts the data constitution of the content of the memory 18 to the data constitution to agree with the designated AP, and outputs it to the magnetic disk 6 as the file F2. |
