The present invention relates to a guiding device for inserting a block (34) including first (47) and second (48) side faces into a box (10) comprising a bottom (14) and a side wall (12), up to a final position substantially parallel to the bottom and to the wall, the second face (48) of the block being the furthest from the wall. The device comprises several guide plates (41, 42, 43) integral with the bottom (14) and substantially perpendicular to the latter, arranged so that, when the block (34) is inserted into the box by pushing it in the direction (D) of its length, the first face (47) of the block bearing (P) on the side wall (12), the inner end of the second face (48) of the block always arrives in abutment against one of the guide plates with an angle such that this end slides without blocking along the plate. <IMAGE>
