PURPOSE:To detect the abnormality of a rotary electric machine by fitting temperature sensors to a frame and detecting the temperature of the machine with the sensors. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of a frame 1 is detected by means of a plurality of temperature sensors 14 fitted to proscribed positions of the frame 1 and sent to an alarm device from which an alarm is generated when the temperature of the frame 1 reaches a prescribed value so as to protect a rotary electric machine. While each sensor 14 can be fitted to the prescribed position in the outer peripheral section of the frame 1 with a plurality of screws or rivets, the sensors 14 can be provided in such a way that platy sensors 14 are stuck to prescribed positions of the frame 1 together with plate springs 15 so that the sensors 14 cannot strip off from the frame 1. |
