Dummy bar arrangement for steel strip casting plant consists of a lower part (8) and a sealing and connecting part with projections on its upper side (11) to bond to the steel being cast. The part also has lower projections (12) with undercuts, partic. of T-shape, for fastening in recesses (13) of the lower part with corresp. undercuts, using spring-loaded clamping bolts (14). ADVANTAGE - Simple in design and handling.
