<p>A crosslinked, collagen-base, controlled-release delivery system is provided comprising a binding agent incorporated into the collagen and a pharmacologically active material, such as an antibiotic, absorbed into the crosslinked collagen incorporating the binding agent. The delivery system is particularly useful as a corneal shield for delivery of antibiotics or other drugs to the eye.</p> |
