The device using a braun tube and liquid crystal element, projects bright and clear color image on the large sized screen. The device employing a light source (900), triple speed circuit (100), shutter driving circuit (400), screen (224) includes: braun tube (200) for converting serial R,G,B signal from output terminal of the circuit (100) to black/white picture; LC optical element (221) for changing the direction of polarized light; polarizing filter (222) for reflecting or projecting incident light; primary reflex mirror (770) for totally reflecting light from the source (900); UV blocking filter for blocking the UV from light reflected from the mirror (770).
