The peranal introduction system for bacteria, pref. E. coli and bifidum longum, accommodates them in a casing (1) of water-soluble material, pref. gelatine. They can be live, or freeze-dried and capable of regeneration. The capsule contg. the bacteria can be inserted in the bowel by means of a sleeve, and there released. The sleeve can be cylindrical, contg. a movable inner ejection cylinder, and having a convex forward end, in which here is an opening of cross-section corresponding to that of the capsule. ADVANTAGE - Simple and rapid regeneration of bowel bacteria.
