The sealing device according to the invention is designed for the rear upper part of a vehicle bodywork, the height of which varies by raising the roof. This device includes a curtain (8) mounted on a winder system (9) secured to the roof (4); the lower end of the curtain (8) is fixed to an upper crossmember (2) secured to the rear lateral pillars (posts, uprights) (3) of the bodywork, which pillars (3) provide guidance for the sliders (5) which support the said roof. This device also includes means for vertical guidance of the lateral borders (12) of the curtain (8), secured to the said sliders (5). These guidance means preferably consist of spindles (13) which interact with sleeves (14) formed in the lateral borders (12) of the curtain (8). <IMAGE>
