Double valve system for a combustion engine making it possible to place valves of a very large diameter which promotes the passage of the fresh gases on induction and of the burnt gases on exhaust. This double valve system allows, owing to its design, the power losses to be limited considerably, and therefore allows significant energy savings to be made. This double valve system makes it possible, owing to its design, to limit considerably the retarding of the exhaust gases as they pass between the valve and its seat (bearing surface). This invention is of particular benefit to all manufacturers of combustion engines. This invention is equally well suited to petrol engines and to diesel engines. This double valve system makes it possible, owing to its design, to simplify manufacture considerably by comparison with existing systems.
