<p>PURPOSE:To avoid a cutter biting into a corner part and preparing wasteful NC data by judging the type of cutter motion from the mode of the applicable corner part and the corner opening angle, and preparing the NC data on the basis of the type of cutter motion obtained through judging. CONSTITUTION:When an outer corner is to be processed and a cutter moves from the point (a) to (c) via point (c), the position of the axis of the cutter is changed from the current inclination gradually to the next point inclination (which is set to the vector in the direction as middle between the normal vectors of adjoining cutter moving paths) in association with the cutter motion according to the conventional method, and a cut will be left in the work to be processed. This is because the axis has inclined, resulting in appearing of a cutter face which has bitten in on the side still nearer the work than the foremost point of the cutter. When an inner corner is to be processed, on the other hand, it is inevitable to generate a slight cut as shown by the dash line, but its amount remains remarkably small.</p> |
