PRODUCTION OF CERAMICS BASE

PURPOSE:To prevent aggregation of ceramics powder and to produce a ceramics base having surface smoothness. CONSTITUTION:Ceramics powder is put in water and boiled to dissociate aggregation of ceramics powder. The slurry is cooled to <=60 deg.C, methyl cellulose is dissolved in the slurry, then heated to >=80 deg.C liquid temperature to gelatinize methyl cellulose. The slurry is kneaded to prepare body, which is molded and burnt. Even by using fine particles of ceramics powder having <=1mum particle size, aggregation can be prevented by boiling energy and the surface of ceramics powder is coated with the gel of methyl cellulose to prevent reaggregation.
