A cable/hose handling chain comprising a chain link 10 having a body including a top wall 13 spaced from an opposed bottom wall 15 by a side wall 12 to define a compartment 17 for housing a cable/hose 18 and having an open side 20 opposite said side wall through which the cable/hose may be inserted into the compartment, and a cable/hose retention clip 30 insertable into the compartment through said opening to an engaged position whereat the clip 30 releasably engages with the top and bottom walls, wherein the clip is moulded from plastics and has a relatively rigid body portion 31 and a pair of relatively flexible resilient arm portions 32 depending therefrom. The body portion 31 is arranged to extend between the top and bottom walls to close said open side 20 when the clip 30 is in said engaged position, said arm portions having latch formations 37 cooperating with the top and bottom walls for restraining withdrawal of the clip through said open side from the engaged position. <IMAGE>
