PURPOSE:To provide a ginseng leaf extract composition reduced in the bitter taste of the ginseng leaf extract for facilitating to drink as a beverage, and useful for the beverages, hair cosmetics or bathing agents. CONSTITUTION:A ginseng leaf extract composition is characterized by adding a nucleic acid-containing solution to an extract solution of ginseng leaves and preferably further adding one or more kinds selected from an unpolished rice extract, an adlay extract, a herb tea extract, a Lycium chinense Mill tea extract and a Glycyrrhiza glabra L. var glandulifera tea extract, the composition being easily drinkable without accompanying a bitter taste. The composition can not only be used as a drinking tea as such but also be sprinkled on the skins of heads, thereby permitting to prevent the itches of the skins, strengthen the elasticity of hair and increase the luster of the skins. Further, the addition of hot water accelerates the diaphoresis and cleansing of the skins, and the composition has also a body heat-insulating effect. |
