<p>PURPOSE:To securely prevent miserasing of a tape cassette by checking any presence of trouble with a recording inhibiting control part based on the checking result of an output signal of the control part at the time of non-loading of the tape cassette, and inhibiting the transfer to a recording mode at the time of finding trouble based on the checking result. CONSTITUTION:A trouble checking means is provided for checking the presence of trouble with the inhibiting control part 1, and a mode control means is then provided for inhibiting the transfer to the recording mode at the time of finding trouble based on this checking result. Consequently, when an inapproval detecting means or a compulsory recording setting means of the recording inhibiting control part 1 is out of order, the trouble with the recording inhibiting control part 1 is detected by the trouble checking means, so that even though the recording mode is set up after loading the tape cassette, the transfer to the recording mode is inhibited by the mode control means based on the checking result of the trouble checking means. By this method, miserasing can be prevented.</p> |
