This monobloc prosthesis comprises a shaft (4, 5) which is generally flat and which is connected to a hemispherical head (1) by way of a neck (3); according to the invention, the upper portion (4) of the shaft has lateral faces which widen towards the top, diverging in the direction of the neck (3), the length (L2) of this widened portion (4) being substantially equal to the distance (L1) which separates the centre (2) of the head from the base (6) of the neck. <IMAGE>
