A substrate (14) associated with the deployment end of a diaper fastener (12) has end-tab means (15) mounted thereon with an adhesive-free zone (19) between the end-tab means (15) and the majority of the substrate adhesive associated with the substrate (18). In the undeployed condition of the fastener, the thickness of the end-tab means (15) extends past at least a portion of the thickness of the substrate (12) immediately adjacent the one on which the end-tab means (15) is mounted, but not past the adhesive (16) associated with the anchoring substrate (12). |
