PURPOSE:To provide a coupling device with an accurate and efficient control characteristic by performing linea control with fine adjusting function for an oil rate following change of an external temperature, in repeated opening/closing operations. CONSTITUTION:An inner space of a sealed device supported onto a rotary shaft to which a driving disc is fixed is divided into an oil reservoir chamber and a torque transmission chamber in which the driving disc is installed, by means of a partition plate having a supplying port. A dam and an inlet to a discharge flow passage to the oil reservoir chamber, in the vicinity of the dam, are formed on an inner peripheral wall surface on the side of the sealed device, opposing to the driving disc. A valve member which opens and closes the supplying port with regard to a preset value according to change of an external temperature is arranged inside interlockingly with an external vortex-formed temperature sensing body, so as to control transmission of a rotational torque from the rotational shaft to the sealed device. A supplying port 5' on a partition plate 5 is a long port having substantially linear shape in a radialy direction. A beak-like tip is provided on the valve member, which tip is located on a rear part in a rotationa direction for opening a port accompanied with temperature rise and outside in a radial direction and backward projectingly. |
