PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition giving a cured product having excellent mechanical strength and heat-resistance in high efficiency by pressing a powdery mixture of a specific crystalline substance and an amorphous substance at a specific temperature and crushing the obtained green compact. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by (1) preparing a powdery mixture of (A) 55-90wt.% of a crystalline substance having a melting point of >=90 deg.C and composed of (i) a crystalline epoxy resin and (ii) 5-40wt.% (based on the whole mixture) of a crystalline hardener and (B) an amorphous substance having a Durran's softening point of >=50 deg.C and composed of an amorphous epoxy resin and/or an amorphous hardener, wherein at least one of the component B has a glass transition point lower than that of the component A, (2) pressing the obtained powdery mixture at a temperature lower than the melting point of the component A, lower than the Durran's softening point of the component B and higher than the glass transition point of at least one of the component B to effect the agglomeration of the powdery particles of the mixture, and finally (3) crushing the produced green compact. |
