The method of limiting the interface voltage of a controlling converter for a three-phase drive involves controlling the drive to maximal and minimal interface voltages respectively in a drive revolution rate control structure for deceleration of the drive and kinetic support of the interface by the drive. The normal operating output voltage of the regulator is limited to a lower current level. A higher current limit is switched in if the supply fails and in normal deceleration mode. USE/ADVANTAGE - For limiting interface voltage of voltage converter supplying variable speed three-phase drive. Low cost control and regulation arrangement.
