The machine automatically inserts seals in grooved window frames, having a stand accommodating the frame and a tool pressing the seal home, together with a cutter mechanism. The tool (3), and if desired also the mechanism, are mounted on a slide moving parallel to the plane of the frame. The tool hinges through 90 deg. or more. There can be several tools, these being arranged to retract for the thickness of the seal on reaching a corner and then turn through 90 deg., before inserting the seal in the other coordinates.
