An ethylene glycol composition which includes welan gum, an alkaline sequestrant or alkali, e.g. trisodium phosphate, and ethylene glycol. The alkaline sequestrant or alkali enhances solubility of welan gum in ethylene glycol and thereby increases the viscosity and thixotropic properites of the ethylene glycol composition. |
