In the present invention, there is disclosed a sealing, trimming, glass guiding or edge finishing strip comprising a compressible sealing part (8) being carried by a gripping part (10) being provided with a mounting part (20) for mounting the sealing part (8) along the surround of an opening to be sealed. The sealing part (8) made of extruded material includes a base part (22) made of foamed material that is at least partially covered with a skin (24) to form an externally visible surface, whereby the skin (24) produced by extrusion, carries metallized or metal particles incorporated in the skin (24) material before or during extrusion in order to form a modified appearance of the skin (24). The invention also relates to a method of modifying or enhancing the appearance of the above-described sealing, trimming, glass-guiding or edge-finishing strip, characterized by the step of incorporating metallized or metal particles into the extruded material for producing the skin (124) before or during extrusion thereof in order to obtain modified appearance of the skin (24). |
