The fire trap closure for conveyor (3-5) wall apertures consists of a fire-proof cladding (13), which is arranged in the plane of the wall aperture and is slotted out to suit the outside contour of the conveyor elements. Material (15) at the underside of the slatted recess forms a foam above a preset temp. to fill out the recess to form a trap. Pref. the aperture (1) is closed off above the conveyor area by a movable slider (10) also fitted with foaming material at the end facing the recess. ADVANTAGE - Automatic closure independent of the conveyor position.
