A volumetric flow meter and/or regulator for a flowing medium. The apparatus comprises a cylindrical sector- shaped measuring duct 1, a vane drum 3 provided with a vane 14, the vane drum rotating in the measuring duct, and an element 5, which produces a counter-force that acts on the vane drum. The position of the vane 14 in the vane drum 3 gives the quantity of the volumetric flow of the medium flowing through the apparatus. The metering and/or regulating range of the meter can be determined through adjustment of the width of the axial measuring intersection 12 in relation to the outlet side of the flow in the measuring duct, said intersection emerging radially from the measuring duct, this adjustment being carried out by means of an adjusting part 6 sliding axially in the measuring duct. The movement of the vane 14 of the vane drum 3 is coupled, either directly or by way of a gear, to a part 10 in the meter or the regulator that adjusts the opening of the valve 7 in such a way that the flow- regulating action occurs automatically. <IMAGE>
