<p>A recombinant fowlpox virus is disclosed which is useful as a vaccine for protection against Marek's Disease. The recombinant virus preferably contains a gene for one or more Marek's Disease Virus antigens such as glycoprotein B homologue, glycoprotein C homologue, glycoprotein D homologue, glycoprotein H homologue and tegument proteins, under the control of a poxvirus promoter within a region of the DNA of fowlpox virus which is not essential for virus growth.</p> |
