PURPOSE:To enable a racket frame comprising a ball-hitting portion, a shaft portion and a grip portion to be formed into desired thickness and to prevent dispersion of the quality thereof by continuously and integrally molding the shaft portion and the grip portion. CONSTITUTION:A mandrel 5 is used which takes such a shape that a shaft portion 3 and a grip portion 4 are integrated and continued to each other. A prepreg 6 cut into a shape for forming the shaft portion 3 and the grip portion 4 is wound around the outer periphery of the mandrel 5 into desired thickness. Next a wrapping tape is wound and fastened around the outer periphery of the mandrel 5 on which the prepreg 6 is wound and the tape is hardened and molded by normal method. The mandrel in which the shaft portion 3 and the grip portion 4 are hardened and molded in advance and an FRP forming material for molding a frame portion 2 under internal pressure are disposed in a metal mold and air or the like is forced into the mold from a grip end portion so that the frame portion 2, the shaft portion 3 and the grip portion 4 are integrally molded. Thereby the weight of the racket frame can be reduced and the manufacturing process of the frame can be simplified. |
