The device is for connecting a rubber sleeve (20) to a joint. It has a flat, ring-shaped flange at one end of the sleeve to mate against the joint face. A retaining ring lies against the flange, and several aligned bores are located around the circumference of both flange and ring so that fixture elements hold retainin ring and joint together with the flange in between.
