Protective garment cover - made from extruded tubular film of opaque recycled polymer with a transparent strip of virgin polymer

A protective garment cover (22) made from tubular film with a partially closed end has a longitudional strip (12) made from transparent film while the rest of the film is partially transparent or opaque. Alternatively two or more transparent strips can be used. The cover (22) can be made of polyethylene, with the opaque section made from recycled material and the transparent section (12) from virgin material. Pref. tubular film is prepd. with a transparent strip by welding together the two types of film, or pref. by co-extruding recycled and virgin polymer. The film is unwound from a reel, placed over a garment (21) on a hanger (20) and the ends sealed to form a protective cover (22). The width of the transparent strip (12) is about 5-10% of the circumference of the tube. USE/ADVANTAGE - The cover uses mainly opaque, recycled material but has a transparent strip to allow the garment to be readily identified.
