Device with which it is possible to test perfumes, as well as the olfactory ability of individuals. The invention relates to a methodical and effective device allowing an individual to measure and grade his olfactory ability in the perception and recognition of various perfumes in general, and the primary aromas given off by food and drink. It consists of a frame comprising an automaton, an air compressor and all the electrical connections and hermetic perfume chambers, pressurised, containing a vial of aromatic dilution, and bearing, at its upper part, a valve, controlled by a button, connected to a console, and an automaton with which it is possible to assess and measure the olfactory abilities of the operator. The device according to the invention is intended in particular to be able to identify the various perfumes and aromas during tastings in gastronomy.
