The present publication discloses a floor drain with a pass-through assembly suited to floor drainage of a prefabricated bathroom module and site-fabricated wet spaces and an installation method for such a floor drain. The invention is based on inserting a tube (5), which acts as the center tube of the floor drain trap so as to provide the pass-through of the floor drain, with the help of a casting mold (14) into the pass-through hole prior to erection of the bathroom module or casting of any wet space floor (3). The tube (5) is secured and the pass-through hole is sealed by means of a concrete layer (10) cast over the mold (14) and the part forming the floor drain cavity and the grille of the floor drain are inserted in the prefabricated hole in the module floor (3) subsequently to erection of the module. The invention achieves a significant reduction of floor threshold height of a wet space. |
