The invention relates to a windscreen wiper of the type comprising a blade-holding arm, a windscreen wiper blade and an aerodynamic deflector (12) which extends longitudinally over at least part of the length of the windscreen wiper blade to which it is fixed by its central part. In accordance with the invention, the deflector (12) is connected to the windscreen wiper blade (10) at at least one other point distant from its central fastening part. The additional link of the deflector is, for example, produced by means of the projecting free end (34) of an articulation pin (18) for the callipers (14) and (16) for distributing the pressure of the windscreen wiper blade (10) which projecting end penetrates into a corresponding hole (36) formed in the lateral face (30) of the longitudinal end portion (24) of the deflector (12). <IMAGE>
